I’m Rachael St. Germain.
I’m a writer, photographer, and story-teller living in the heart of San Francisco, along with my goofy, CPA, corny-joke-lovin’ hubby (Sean) and our fur baby (Chloe, our adorable Westie).
My heart burns with compassion for those who feel like “outsiders,” those who question their place and purpose in this world, and those who believe they need to change or “mask” certain aspects of themselves in order to belong.
My story is not picture-perfect and includes some grime. But that’s okay. For it’s been through the dark and broken places wherein I was able to discover that which matters most to me and experience life-altering change to help me discover wherein my true identity lies.
I welcome you into my story, so as to provide encouragement that dark seasons are not to be feared. Our dark places and sources of deepest shame can actually be sources of incredible light meant to illuminate not only our own lives, but also the lives of others. I hope my story serves as a living example that it’s okay (and encouraged) to look different from others and embrace living unashamed as your “unmasked” self.
